Spring officially starts tomorrow Friday March 20th! Hooray for warmer weather, longer days, and more sunshine! The change of season also brings a change of produce.

Here's what fruits and vegetables that will be making its appearance this coming season:

  • Apples

  • Apricots

  • Asparagus

  • Avocados

  • Bananas

  • Blackberries

  • Broccoli

  • Cabbage

  • Carrots

  • Celery

  • Collard Greens

  • Garlic

  • Herbs

  • Kale

  • Kiwifruit

  • Lemons

  • Lettuce

  • Limes

  • Mushrooms

  • Onions

  • Peas

  • Pineapples

  • Plantains

  • Radishes

  • Rhubarb

  • Spinach

  • Strawberries

  • Swiss Chard

  • Turnips

For some meal and snack ideas try these:

  • Apples with peanut butter

  • Roasted carrots, Brussel sprouts, and potatoes

  • Avocados or homemade guacamole as a healthy side dish or snack

  • Avocado toast

  • Bananas as a pre-workout snack or midday snack

  • Fruit salad with pineapples, kiwis, and strawberries

  • Blanched spinach

  • Pomegranate seeds as a topper on granola, yogurt, or salad

  • Lemon or lime juice for an extra zest in your dish

  • Roasted asparagus and/or broccoli

I'm excited to add avocados to my plate! They're full of healthy fats and fiber. Which fruit or vegetable are you excited to eat this spring?
